Made with care by a maker, for a maker.
Anna Untangled project bags are carefully handcrafted in Anna’s West Wales studio using the vintage sewing machine she inherited from her Grandma. Each bag combines a colourful quilted outer with a flat base and sturdy cotton drawstring, keeping your knitting or crochet project safe, organised and ready to travel.
Choose from two sizes and a collection of joyful prints, each with its own story and carefully chosen combination of colours and fabrics.
The Littler bag is ideal for socks, hats and kerchiefs, holding around 300g of yarn. The Bigger bag has room for shawls, summer tops and other larger projects, holding around 400 to 500g.
Each project bag has a quilted cotton outer, bamboo and cotton wadding, a flat base and a sturdy cotton drawstring.

Anna has always been a maker. After making more project bags than one person could ever use, and realising how much she loved making them, she began putting together fun combinations of colour and print for other makers to enjoy.
Anna learned to sew with her Grandma, an amazing quilter who encouraged everyone’s creativity. Some of Anna’s earliest memories of making come from sitting in her Grandma’s sewing room. The first thing she remembers making with her was a little lavender bag, filled with lavender from the garden.
Today, every Anna Untangled project bag is made using the vintage sewing machine inherited from her Grandma.
Each design begins with a hero print, chosen for its colour or theme. Anna then searches for complementary or contrasting colours and prints for the lining and finishing details. It is a process led by instinct, curiosity and a love of playful fabric combinations. After all, why shouldn’t your project bag be covered in slices of cake?

Named after Anna’s Grandma’s cottage, The Briar’s patchwork inspired fabric recalls her beautiful quilting projects.
The design is finished with an emerald green cord and opens to reveal a lining patterned with handwritten stories.
Bold illustrations in rich colours cover The Florist, with pansies, tulips, auriculas and lilies bringing flowers to your crafting whatever the season.
Because of the fabric’s large scale print, every bag will feature its own selection of blooms.
Named after Marie Antoinette and the famous quote, or misquote depending on which history book you read, “Let them eat cake!”, The Marie features a playful print filled with delicious slices of cake.
The colours of the cakes are picked up in the bold red and pink striped lining, so you can keep a sweet treat close by while you craft.
The Meadow evokes carefree days among the wildflowers. Its cheerful floral print is paired with bold contrasting stripes, while inside there is an unexpected sprinkling of tomatoes.
As if cut from an artist’s apron, The Painter bursts with inspiration in joyful smudges of colour.
Golden stripes and a lilac drawstring pick up colours from the print, while the rich teal lining adds a luxurious finishing touch.
